Berlin Freedom Conference 2025
For the past two decades, freedom and democracy have been in decline worldwide. Autocracies are learning from each other, coordinating, and exploiting the vulnerabilities of open societies. Democracies, by contrast, are too often responding in fragmented and reactive ways. The Berlin Freedom Conference seeks to reverse that global trend and reclaim the future for free societies.
On November 10, leaders from government, business, education, media, tech, civil society, and defense will come together in Berlin to develop long-term strategies and real-world coordination in an increasingly unstable, multipolar world – focusing not on symbolic gestures or short-term fixes but practical solutions.
Expect keynotes, sharp debates, and fast-paced exchanges between leaders shaping policy, culture, and business. The goal: to build networks, share ideas that work, and push democracies to act with greater clarity, purpose and confidence.
Berlin is the right place for this. The fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989, became the iconic image of democracy’s triumph over authoritarian rule. Today, this vibrant, diverse city is the capital of a country stepping more firmly into a global role in defending democratic values.
This new conference format is built to contribute to that mission. It is not just about speeches, but about shaping the strategies that democracies need to win. Participants will leave with fresh energy, concrete ideas, new alliances, and a renewed sense of how to advance the democratic project.
This summit is not the end, but the beginning. Just as Berlin once symbolized the triumph of liberty over tyranny, the Berlin Freedom Conference aspires to spark a new era — one in which democracies reclaim the initiative and prove that freedom’s future is still bright.
