Dr. Anyama Alfred Berliner
Dr. Anyama Alfred Berliner is a ๐ฎ๐ด-๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ-๐ผ๐น๐ฑ ๐จ๐ด๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ, human rights activist, youth leader, and democracy organizer committed to advancing freedom, human rights, civic participation, and democratic leadership across Sub-Saharan Africa.
He serves as ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐๐ฏ-๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ณ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ at the World Liberty Congress (WLC), where he coordinates regional networks, strengthens collaboration among democracy and human rights actors, and supports civic organizing across the continent. He also coordinates the ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ (YLC), WLCโs youth wing, connecting and mobilizing young leaders and activists across Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Rwanda, and beyond.
Dr. Anyama is ๐๐ผ-๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ผ๐บ (VoF), an initiative focused on supporting human rights and democratic movements, amplifying the experiences of ๐ฝ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐๐ด๐ฒ๐ฒ๐, and developing civic leaders. Through VoF, he is advancing a ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ผ๐๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ to equip emerging leaders with knowledge, networks, and practical skills for democratic and community leadership.
He has supported ๐ป๐ผ๐ป-๐๐ถ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ด๐ป๐ for studentsโ rights, youth civic engagement, and activists facing ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น-๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ธ๐ by connecting them with relevant organizations and resources. He also works with children and believes sustainable democratic transformation begins with ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ต and shaping their understanding of citizenship, responsibility, freedom, and community from an early age.
