Berlin Freedom Conference 2025
For the past two decades, freedom and democracy have been in decline worldwide. Autocracies are learning from each other, coordinating, and exploiting the vulnerabilities of open societies. Democracies, by contrast, are too often responding in fragmented and reactive ways. The Berlin Freedom Conference seeks to reverse that global trend and reclaim the future for free societies.
The Berlin Freedom Conference is a global forum dedicated to defending democracy, human rights, and open societies. Founded in Berlin - a city that symbolizes the triumph of freedom over oppression - the conference brings together leaders from politics, business, civil society, media, academia, and technology to address the mounting challenges to liberty in the 21st century. Its mission: to strengthen democratic resilience, debate solutions and forge new alliances for freedom worldwide.
The first Berlin Freedom Conference, held on 10 November 2025 at the iconic Gasometer in Schöneberg, gathered more than 900 participants from around the world. Over the course of one day, speakers from more than 30 nations explored how democracies can respond to authoritarian aggression, hybrid warfare, disinformation, and technological disruption. The conference provided a stage for dissidents, thinkers, and policymakers united by a shared belief: freedom must be actively defended.
The next Berlin Freedom Conference will continue this mission - connecting global and local voices, and turning ideas into action. As democracies face growing pressure, the conference remains a space for courage, collaboration, and creativity. Together, we can shape a freer future!
